Usage

Select a PDF, optionally specify a page range, then run to extract selectable text by page and download a TXT file. Scanned PDFs are reported as requiring OCR. Notes: 1. The 15MB file size limit applies; larger files cannot be processed yet. 2. All processing is done locally in your browser; files are never uploaded. 3. After running, scroll the result preview to review each page.

   Can it extract text from scanned PDFs?

   No. This tool extracts selectable text from the PDF text layer. Scanned PDFs only contain images without a text layer and require OCR tools.

   Does the extracted text preserve original formatting?

   Extracted text is output as plain text in reading order. Original fonts, colors, and layout formatting are not preserved.
